About the Exhibition
MOMENTUM: Art of the Near West Side celebrates the remarkable concentration of artistic talent in Milwaukee's Near West Side neighborhood. Curated by local art advocates Erik Eide of Worldview Art Center and Brad Anthony Bernard of Community Arts & Funk Festival Productions, this exhibition features works across various media and styles.
The grand splendor of Uplifting Mansion provides an elegant backdrop for exhibited artworks in a historic destination. As you explore the exhibition, you'll discover the rich diversity of artistic expression that makes our neighborhood special.
During the event, Uplifting Mansion will also formally announce and launch our Artist in Residence program, supporting emerging and established local artists with exhibition space and a six-month stipend.

Call for Artists
Are you a Near West Side artist interested in participating in our gallery night? If so, please submit your information here. Please note that Uplifting Mansion serves diverse audiences of all ages. Submitted work should be appropriate for our inclusive, family-friendly environment and align with our core values- love, collaboration, growth, and joy.
All participants will be considered for our Artist in Residence Program!

The selected exhibited works will be juried by a group of respected jurors to determine which artists will be awarded the Uplifting Mansion ‘Artist in Residence’ Award. The artist awarded ‘Best of Show’ for their piece will be selected as the inaugural residency participant and the artists awarded first through third place will be offered the opportunity to participate in succession.
All featured artists will get detailed information about drop off, which will happen on Wednesday, April 9 between 4:00-7:00.
